Think on these...

Just got it in the mail-Author Unknown (picture and comments in green, mine)

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. Proverbs 31:26 "She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness." (King James Version) Now that's another one of the verses I'm working on implementing in my life.

A sharp tongue can cut your own throat. Remember, the tongue has the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21)

If you want your dreams to come true, you mustn't oversleep. Taking that a step further, someone wisely said: "When we wake up in the morning, we have two simple choices: Go back to sleep and dream, or wake up and chase those dreams. The choice is yours..."

Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important. And this is a result of internal impressions - see previous series on Self-confidence...

The best vitamin for making friends..... B1. Proverbs 18:24: "A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." Do you have any such friends? I sure do...they are such a blessing. Did you know that "Vitamin B1, also known as thiamin, helps fuel your body by converting blood sugar into energy"*? Being a friend is so energizing - at least for me.

The heaviest thing you can carry is a grudge. It sure weighs you down...and half the time the other person is having a great time/life - believe me it's not worth it. Drop the grudge, talk to the person if you can, get on with your life which ever way.

One thing you can give and still keep...is your word. You need courage to give and keep your word. You also need to courage to tell people when things have changed such that you are no longer able to keep your word...yep, that's integrity!

You lie the loudest when you lie to yourself. Wonder who you'd be doing a favour by doing that...not wise at all.

If you lack the courage to start, you have already finished. Links nicely to our discussion on
"Courage to Live" won't you say?

One thing you can't recycle is wasted time. George Allen said: "Every day you waste is one you can never make up." Time wasted is life wasted...invest your life (and time) wisely. Charles Darwin agrees: "A man who dares to waste one hour of life has not discovered the value of life." Wow!! What more can I say?
