If you look, listen and learn...

...you will live a lovely and lively life.

This sounded like a tongue-twister when it dropped in my spirit,
then the Holy Spirit told me it is actually a life-saving statement to commit to memory -
and pass on...

Make the most of the remaining ten months of this year and of course the rest of your life,  as you...
God bless.

Are these for you too?

Just this morning, the Lord sent 2 different messages to me using interesting and unrelated channels...and they were both in sync.

Wallow in it...

Wallow? Yes – “Wallow” My reaction was the same when the word occurred to me as part of the title for this posting – so I looked it up and got the message. One of the meaning of the word “wallow” is to have an ample supply of something. The focus of this piece is to encourage us to “Wallow in Water” – now it holds together nicely, at least for me.

I’ll be referring to various sources as we go on because I know that what I’m sharing is not new…it’s just pertinent to cap this month of health with “a cup or 2 or water.”

WWW

If you're a regular reader of  the blog - directly or via FB, by now,
you may be used to postings going in a different direction from what you were expecting...

Well this one won't disappoint you either- this time WWW stands for
Wholeness, Wellness and Wealth.

There is a rythm to them and I can assure you that they give melody to your life -
yes, they are beneficial and desirable for a good life.

It has been said that "the greatest wealth is health."* So what is "health"?
According to the WHO,
"Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being,
and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."

The dictionary defines:
Wellness as: "physical well-being, especially when maintained or achieved through
good diet and regular exercise"*
and
Wholeness as "healed or restored to health physically or psychologically"**

They go hand in hand...what's the point of being restores to health and not maintaining it?
We should be aware of that connection and aim to be whole.
Indeed, "just because you're not sick doesn't mean you're healthy."****

Strive to be WWW for life!

I shared a few tips the first 21 days of this month...and at other times. Search for "Healthy habits" or "HEELS" or "Matters of the heart" on http://www.sapphire-and-beryl.blogspot.com/

Fun facts...

Just this evening, our family was playing a "Food facts" game. Then my husband looked up and shared these facts with us...so I'm "spreading the word and the love"...

Little profit is better than none...

Have you noticed that God doesn't waste space? There is no phrase or verse that doesn't have a purpose.

In Isaiah 48:17b, He says:
"I am the LORD your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go." (NKJV)
He takes this promise seriously and expects us to take Him at His Word.

There are so many profit-generating tips all through the Bible...

Fruit-tooth

Yes...you guessed right. Posting this today is totally deliberate.
I know that for those of you who believe in and celebrate St Valentine's day, some of you will be expecting, giving or even partaking in a box of chocolates and other sweets.

Veggy Good

I'm yet to meet a parent who didn't have to say "eat up your veggies before you get up" to their child(ren). I guess even those of us who didn't (& possibly, still don't) like vegetables, believe that it is good for you.   Indeed, "vegetables are full of vitamins, minerals and fiber, all of which are crucial for a healthy diet. We are even learning that the more vegetables you eat, the more diseases you ward off."* That's why I'm here...

Berry good

There are berries everywhere...if you look hard enough you'll find a variety wherever you live. One great thing about them is their size - irrespective of age, everyone can easily eat a berry...which is also why we should be cautious with children so they don't put it in the wrong place or try swallowing one that's too big for them. There are so many other Berry Benefits...

Berries are naturally sweet - another added advantage I'd say. I also know that the more colourful, the better they are for you.

I'll let you look up some of the other benefits - take advantage of their size and ease of preparation and enjoy their natural sugar...and your teeth are safe with that type of sugar.

You are what you eat...

I know some people believe that we "eat to live" while others say we "live to eat" - what a purpose for life? As Christians, we all know that the first statement is not true otherwise we won't fast as often as some of us do.

Matters of the Heart

Welcome to the 2nd month of this year. Several months ago, in praying and preparing towards this month's postings, I noticed that there was a "pull" towards what I'd call:
"Matters of the Heart."

Stay put...not out

When this common quote: "Go where you're celebrated not tolerated" crossed my mind, the first 2 words in the title "resp...
