"Peace"...not "Please"

This thought hit me was listening to a message on Daystar TV* online. The preacher made a reference to Mark 4: 39-40 which says:
"Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?" (NKJV)
Note that in taking charge, Jesus did not "plead" with the situation, He spoke to it; rather than start a discussion about the situation (which a lot of us are quick to), He addressed it. We need to learn to "speak to situations" not plead with them. Jesus reinforced that a few chapters later in Mark 11: 22-24:
"So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (NKJV)
It's really up to you...

Job 22:28 - "You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God's favor] shall shine upon your ways" (Amplified Bible)
So it all starts and ends with what we "say"...and what we say depends on what we believe...in our heart. Luke 6:45b: What you say flows from what is in your heart. (New Living Translation)

Without the word of God in your heart, you cannot have His power in your mouth.
You must first know and believe then you can declare what God has said concerning you. Too many of us are at the devil's mercy - pleading rather than speaking to our situations. No one said that life will be easy or smooth even God promises to be with us "when", not if, we go through fire and flood (Isaiah 43:2). Yes, it's only a matter of time we'll all have our time in fire and flood.
A Bulgarian proverb puts it this way:
“God promises a safe landing but not a calm passage.”

Know and believe that you will have a safe landing - speak that into your life daily and you will have whatever you say. My prayer is that as we begin/continue to walk in this consciousness, we will always be above, not under, the circumstances. Amen.
