M 'n' M

After reading "Life Management for Busy Women" by Elizabeth George, I can't but stress that we must all strive to be "M & M" women.

M&Ms* are a popular brand of candy...maybe not as popular as Smarties but that's not the point here. I believe they've made a name for themselves because of their consistent quality.

Likewise, we must have consistent quality and that only comes when we "model what we mouth"...indeed walk the talk. We must learn to only say/commit to things we'll actually do and do what we say we will - yes, be women of integrity. And that includes the ability to say "no" without feeling guilty.

M&Ms come in different colours but all have a "heart of chocolate"...the integrity of their "insides" is not dependent on or compromised by what colour they are on the outside. We are all different too but as Christian women, our integrity must be based on the word of God - yes, we need to read and live it.

With a heart that yearns after God with passion and purpose, we must go beyond reading and speaking the word and cause the words to "step" into our walk...every day. We must be examples...for generations to come.

"Let no one despise or think less of you because of your youth, but be an example (pattern) for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12: Amplified Bible) Paul was able to say this to Timothy because his mother and grandma passed on their cultivated faith to him (see 2 Timothy 1:5).
Remember, the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.  That's what the "Esther Effect" is about.

Is your life one that speaks so loudly that people don't hear what you're saying? Or is it one that amplifies what you say?

I also like to ask: "are people glad or sad wherever you go or whenever you go?" Become an "M 'n' M" or even a "Smartie" woman - it will make a whole load of difference and add colour (& character) to your life and the lives of those around you.

Yes, life can be colourful and sweet...be an "M 'n' M" woman.
