According to John...

Anyone who has read & studied the New Testament of the Bible, especially the Gospels, will agree that John (the Beloved) was the "unappointed" leader of the disciples. Seeing such leadership, and being convinced that everyone can be and is a leader, I went looking for what some of his name sakes said about leadership:-

“Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.”
~ John Fitzgerald Kennedy

The most important skill to acquire is learning how to learn.
~ John Naisbitt

“Leaders must be close enough to relate to others, but far enough ahead to motivate them.”
~ John Maxwell

"A leader lives with people to know their problems.
A leader lives with God in order to solve them."

~ John C. Maxwell

“If your actions inspire others to dream more,
learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”
~ John Quincy Adams

Success comes from knowing that you did your best
to become the best that you are capable of becoming.
~ John Wooden

"Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished,
but by what you should have accomplished with your ability."
~ John Wooden

“The chief executive who knows his strengths and weaknesses as a leader is likely to be far more effective than the one who remains blind to them. He also is on the road to humility -- that priceless attitude of openness to life that can help a manager absorb mistakes, failures, or personal shortcomings.”
~ John Adair

“People are more inclined to be drawn in if their leader has a compelling vision. Great leaders help people get in touch with their own aspirations and then will help them forge those aspirations into a personal vision.”
~ John Kotter

“Leaders establish the vision for the future and set the strategy for getting there; they cause change. They motivate and inspire others to go in the right direction and they, along with everyone else, sacrifice to get there.”
~ John Kotter

“Teamwork is no accident. It is the by-product of good leadership.” ~ John Adair

"Some people strengthen the society just by being the kind of people they are."
~ John W. Gardner

“One person can make a difference and every person should try.”
~ John Fitzgerald Kennedy

It takes only one person to start/make a change in the world -
you can be that person...making one change at a time.
