While praying this morning, I felt led to encourage us all to consciously LEAP as a way of life.
Leaping is: "a light springing movement upwards or forwards"* and that's my point exactly...it is an action. We need to always be moving upwards and forward to accomplish our purpose in life.
To truly LEAP, I recommend at least 4 things:
Listen to God: The wisest man that ever lived (King Solomon) advised us to: "Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track. Don't assume that you know it all." (Prov 3: 5-7 - The Message).
God Himself promised: "Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you in the way that you should go."**
If you take the time to listen, I know from personal experience that: "You will hear your Teacher's voice behind you. You will hear it whether you turn to the right or the left. It will say, "Here is the path I want you to take. So walk on it."" (Isaiah 30:21 - NIRV)
Enjoy God's presence: When you make it a habit of listening to God, you will enjoy God's presence & experience His pleasures like David: "You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever." (Ps 16:11 - NLT)
"How precious is Your steadfast love, O God! The children of men take refuge and put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They relish and feast on the abundance of Your house; and You cause them to drink of the stream of Your pleasures." (Ps 36: 7-8 - Amp)
"Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man whom You choose and cause to come near, that he may dwell in Your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple." (Ps 65:4- Amp) Is there any reason not to desire to enjoy this?
Act on God's word: Only the foolish listen and don't act on God's word. Matthew 7: 24-27 says:- "So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a stupid (foolish) man who built his house upon the sand. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell--and great and complete was the fall of it. (Amplified)
Acting on God's word is also the only way you can truly demonstrate that you have faith.
Faith by without works is dead and utterly useless just like it says in James 2: 17 & 18.
Praise & worship God: The only reason why I recommend this is because that is the only reason why you were created in the first place. Just like the 4-3-2-1 count down, Isaiah 43:21 tell us: "This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise." (NKJV)
From that point, once you continually praise and worship Him, things only get better...
Psalm 67: 5-7 - "Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us, And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him." (God's Word Translation)
May we all LEAP throughout this year and I am sure that God will "crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance."***Amen
Happy LEAP year!
